My review today is on the Medieval Romance, Beauteous. This is book two in the series, Age of Honor, I had really been looking forward to this book. It did not let me down. I'm a big fan of Tamara's work and was thrilled when this was finally released. It's well-written, action-packed, and heart-warming. I know you are going to love it.
Lady Odine Wulfrith was once known for her beauty; so much so that she was called by that name. As a girl of sixteen, she kissed a young squire after he returned from court with her brother. Unknown to all the squire was exposed to the Pestilence. She blamed her brother for the sickness that scarred her face and claimed so many of their family. She never told of her kisses causing grief to torture her. Now she hides behind a veil. A man is brought to their home as a prisoner, when he escapes and is wounded she helps him as she would any wounded animal. She is attracted to the man but continues to hide her face from him.
Sir Sinjin Daschiel has escaped London but is captured and will be taken to the king. He is drawn to the lovely lady in veils assuming she is a widow. He escapes but is wounded as he flees. He sees a beautiful vision of a woman in fine cloth blowing in the wind holding an owl on her wrist. He is found by a woman in a mask and held in an old lodge. He is tempted to kiss her in the shadows but her family would never accept him when they learn his secret.
A powerful journey of secrets and love that can affect the whole Wolfrith family. God has a plan for these two, a plan for hope and a future. God has a plan for you too, even in this time of political unrest and tribulation. Give Him your heart and watch Him move in your life.
