This Treacherous Journey by Misty M. Beller

My review today is on the Historical Romance, This Treacherous Journey. This is the first book in the Heart of the Mountains Series. I really enjoyed this book all though it makes you think of your own pregnancy and how difficult it would be to go through the mountains on horse back. This book is well written, full of adventure, and drama. You are going to love this one.
Simeon Grant came out to the west in 1851. He and his young wife headed for Montana Territory. The journey was much worse than they had expected and his wife went into labor out in the middle of no where. Simeon found a cabin and the couple helped her deliver twins but his wife died. Devastated he left the twins with the couple that had helped them for they were childless. Now five years later a young couple, a set of twins, wants him to lead them to Canadian territory. They knew very little about the mountains. The man, Joseph was injured and will be unable to help his sister much but the main problem is the woman is with child. Could he go through this again?
Emma Malcom was raised in Baltimore and then they went to Texas. Her father forced her to marry a man that turned out to be a crook. He was hung and now the people who were victims are after his wife. Joseph, her twin, helps her escape but there is a price on her head. Their only option is to head for Canada to an aunt that will help them. It's Joseph's job to protect her and her unborn child but they had an accident and his arm is badly broken. Emma can't do the extra work, they really need a guide. The mountain man that has helped them finally agrees to lead them.
A journey of these three people in the treacherous Rocky Mountains trying to beat the winter storms.
God has a plan, a plan of restoration, protection, and love. God has a plan for you too; a good plan and not for evil. Give Him your heart, trust Him and watch Him turn your life around. You will never be sorry.
