The Four Blood Moons by John Hagee

My book review today is on the book, The Four Blood Moon by Pastor John Hagee. This is a book on end time prophecy but is also a book about what is happening today in our world. Many things are happening today that could be taken right from the book of Revelation.

As I read this book this last week, I also watched a movie, Revelation,(Produced by John Hagee) the movie, Six: The Mark Unleashed, a Praise The Lord Show on TBN about end time prophecy with eight men of God, and I'm doing a book for my on pastor called, The Revelation of Jesus Christ, so I feel like God is trying to tell me time is short.

"There will be signs in the Sun, in the Moon, and in the Stars. Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near." Luke 21:25-28. This book deals with the signs and wonders. NASA calls them the Four Blood Moons. It is rare when scripture, science, and history align with each other, yet the last three series of the Four Blood Moons have done just that. Pastor Hagee explains what happened at the last three Four Blood Moons. Are these the signs the Bible talks about? What can these mean? As they line up with the feasts of Israel, what is their significance? Pastor John Hagee explores the supernatural connection of certain celestial events to biblical prophecy and to the world. God uses the heavens as a billboard to the things that are coming soon. He is in control and wants you to be aware of what is about to take place.

There are so many end time prophets out there and I know that they don't have everything figured out but we need to listen and be aware that the world is headed to the last days in full force. We won't agree with everything but we need to know God is in control and we don't have to fear. I know you will be blessed to read this book. The first Blood Moon comes on April 15 and we are almost there. God bless you all today.

Grave Danger by Katy Lee

My book review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense Book, Grave Danger by Katy Lee. I really enjoyed this book. I am fascinated by the science of forensics so I loved that part of the book. It was well written and action packed. Two broken people trying to solve a mystery. The book had just the right amount of faith in it. I know you will enjoy it.

A skeleton is found on the beach by a couple of young boys. Island Sheriff Wesley Grant calls for a forensic anthropologist to prove this body didn't die on his watch. Wes is a broken man that was destroyed by a woman who betrayed him. He had come home with his tail between his leg to recover.
His island welcomed him home and voted him sheriff but he is a different man than he once was. Now had no use for women at all especially a beautiful young anthropologist.

Anthropologist Lydia Muir has spent her whole life trying to prove her intelligence because of her father, a famous man of science. Her boss treats her as an unskilled intern because of bad blood with her father. Lydia believes this case will prove value to the team and give her the promotion she longs for but when she identifies the body she becomes a victim herself and Wes tries to protect her.

A great story. One you will want to run out and buy. Now have a great weekend and God bless you all.

The Guardian's Promise Christina Rich

My book review today is is on the Love Inspired Historical Book, The Guardian's Promise by Christina Rich. I loved this book. It is difficult to put yourself back into the stories of the Bible but that is what Christina did. I think it would be really difficult to accurately write about a time that was almost a thousand years before Jesus was born. A life where they didn't have a relationship with God but must obey the Law in a time when no one was doing that. I love the way she handled it.

Ariel was a priest and warrior to the royal family when the evil queen has the whole royal family killed to take over the throne. A nurse takes the infant child Joash and hides him in her home village.
To protect the true king of Judah, Ari becomes a slave to the head of that family. Now seven years later Ari's time of servitude is over, he must decide his next move. Caleb, his master, wants him to wed his daughter and become the son he never had but Ari isn't free until he takes the young king back to the temple and finishes his vow to God.

Sh'mira, Caleb's daughter was injured as a young child, now maimed, no man seems wants to take her to wife but a drunkard who wants her fathers land. She dreams of Ari, the mysterious slave, she once saved and a life of home and children. The Queens soldiers come to their village and Mira runs with Joash her adopted brother and hides but the soldiers seem to have inside information.

Ari told the young boy where to hide if they come for him, he finds Mira and Joash waiting for him, now he must save them from the soldiers trying to kill them. A strange and wondrous journey for Mira but terrifying to Ari. Ari must keep the king safe as he is force to consider one of his own family might be the one trying to kill the king, while he fights his growing relationship to Mira. I know you will enjoy this story.

The Soldier's Secrets by Naomi Rawlings

My book review today is on the Love Inspired Historical Book, The Soldier's Secrets by Naomi Rawlings. A story taking place in France in 1795 during the days of the French Revolution. I enjoyed the story. It was well researched and I learned a lot about the period of time. I know you will enjoy it too.

Brigitte Debois is a widow with three small children at home. Her father-in-law, a famous smuggler, threatens to harm her and her children if she doesn't spy on the man that supposedly killed her husband. If she helps and finds proof he will give her money to return to her family. Brigitte really has no choice in the matter.

Jean Paul Belanger took place in the Revolution after the death of his wife. He was drawn into the horrors of war and became a man he couldn't live with. Going home he farmed and helped the widows, orphaned, and maimed trying to atone for his past sins. No one knew of his time in Paris. Now a widow comes to his land and asks for a job, he refuses her one but gives her food to eat as she looks starved. The widow comes back the next day and offers to make him bread. He gives her food again as she looked worse than the day before.

Brigitte and her children find a deserted cottage and take refuge in it. She must find away to make him hire her. She becomes ill and Jean Paul finds out about her children. He helps them during her illness.
Jean Paul is hiding his past and so is Brigitte, a journey that comes to a head when her father-in-laws men kidnap her and the children.

A good story you will want to read. Have a great week end and God bless you all.

Family In Hiding by Valerie Hansen

My book review today is on the Love Inspired Book; Family In Hiding by Valerie Hansen. This is the fifth book in the Witness Protection Series. I will be sorry to have this series finish as I have enjoyed it so much but then I really want to know who the mole is and who is running the whole baby smuggling ring. This book was awesome. I like that they brought Dylan and his family into the story and that he wasn't the crook you thought he was in the last book. This one is different as the couple are married but estranged and are now being forced to live together as a family. Valerie also dealt with the children. I often wondered how you could keep your children from blowing your cover. Young kids would have a problem with all the past and all they are going through. Plus these kids had everything and then lost it all.

Dylan McIntyre is a lawyer for a prestigious firm. He  slowly became involved in an adoption agency that he began to realize wasn't quite legal. Dylan is going to help the law enforcement find the baby smuggling ring. Dylan goes to his office to get a flash drive with his files but ends up on the run. He goes to his wife to say goodbye. Someone shoots at them. The Marshall appear and take them into the Witness Protection Program.

Grace McIntyre is a mother of three children. She helped her husband go to school and become a lawyer. Now he has put work before everything and now she finds out he has been involved in some kind of adoption ring. Forced into Witness Protection she tries to keep her husband away from her heart and her children but finds it hard to do when their lives is in danger.

A great story I know you will love. If you haven't read the first four books you need to run out and buy them. They are all well written and the stories are action packed. All the books lead to the next final book, you won't want to miss it.

Wrongly Accused by Laura Scott

My book review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense book Wrongly Accused. This book is the first book in the SWAT:Top Cops Series. This book is written by Laura Scott. I loved this book. My son was Special Forces and is now a deputy sheriff so I like these kind of books. It is well written and full of action. They don't know who to trust, I like that. Both of her main characters are broken and trying to find their way which didn't include a relationship but God had His own plans.

Caleb O'Malley was a member of a SWAT team but fourteen months ago he was accused of murdering his wife. Released now for lack of evidence, he goes to pick up his five year old daughter. Kaitlin doesn't want to go to him and hangs on dearly to her foster mother but loses the stuffed toy she held. Caleb bent over to pick up the toy just a bullet struck the door where his head was a moment ago. He shoved the foster mother and his daughter into the house to save their lives. Grabbing car keys on the table he led them to the garage.

Noelle Whiteman was Kaitlin's preschool teacher when her mother was murdered. Noelle was a licensed foster parent so she requested to care for Kaitlin. She had heard all the talk about Caleb and didn't trust him but then after her past she didn't trust any men. Now she was on the run with a total stranger.

Caleb's only hope was to find out who was framing him. It had to be one of his own team. He knew Noelle didn't believe him, he really couldn't blame her for that. Now the eye witness is dead along with his lawyer, a warrant was out for his arrest, and they were running out of money.

A great story. I know you will enjoy every minute of it. God bless you all and have a great weekend. I won't be  posting on Monday as I have to go to a specialist out of town. Pray for me, I don't want to have surgery.

Ozark Sweetheart by Helen Gray

My book review today is on the Heartsong Presents book Ozark Sweetheart by Helen Gray. I wasn't sure I was going to like this book. I don't usually like books on the Depression. My parents told me so many horror stories about that time but I did like this one. It was handled in a very decent way. I love the idea of people in the communities sharing what they had to trade with each other leaving everyone's pride in tact.

Callie Blake experiences a trauma in the city. Feeling like her life is in danger Callie runs home. Her family is struggling to survive when a cold blooded killer follows her home. He walks up to her brothers and asks them their names then shoots one of them in the  chest. The shooter runs off but attempt to kill Callie and her other brothers. Callie is struggling to help her family through the Depression. Callie was very aware of how poor her family had become and refuses to date her high school crush.

Trace Gentry is a successful car dealer. He is a sworn bachelor, he had a wonderful relationship that ended when the women died, and then he had a relationship where she wanted his money and prestige.
Trace loves the way Callie tries to help the community and her family. Trace didn't care about how poor she and her family was, he saw her heart and thought she'd become beautiful. Caliie's refusal to go out with him led him to find inventive ways to get her to go places with him.

Check out the book, it is a great love story. I know you will enjoy this book. God bless you all.

The Preacher's Bride Claim by Laurie Kingery

My book review today is on the Love Inspired Historical The Preacher's Bride Claim by Laurie Kingery. This is the first book in the Bridegroom Brothers Series. I enjoyed this book and will look forward to reading the next book in the series. I enjoyed reading about the Oklahoma Land Rush and the tent cities. It's really hard to imagine living like that.

Elijah Thornton and his brothers were at Boomer Town waiting for the Land Rush to take place. Elijah is a pastor trying to help his sheep and keep them together through this whole ordeal but is unable to help his lost brothers. Elijah lost his fiance to illness at the same time his brother Gidian lost his wife and child. They needed a new start.

Alice Hawthorn ran away from New York where a man planned to force her marry him. He was the only way to save her mother's farm. She came to Oklahoma to get her own land and save her Mother. She has sworn to give up her nursing career and hide until the land rush. When Reverend Elijah Thornton learns she is a nurse, he calls her to help save a severely wounded man, she can't refuse him. Alice soon becomes well known and loved throughout the tent city.

Alice trusts no man and wants no part of the pastor she is drawn too. Elijah and his brothers have sworn never to marry but are drawn to help the nurse. You will love these characters and the way they bond to become more than family. I know you will love this journey in history. God bless you all and have a great week.

Wyoming Promises by Kerri Mountain

My book review today is on the Love Inspired Historical Book, Wyoming Promises, written by Kerri Mountain. I enjoyed this book, I haven't read any of Kerri's books before but I did like this one and I will read more of them. Her characters are flawed and broken but they seemed real and you enjoy their journey to wholeness.

Lancaster County Target by Kit Wilkinson

My book review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense Book Lancaster County Target by Kit Wilkinson. An almost Amish story, I love those. I'm a sucker for the Amish and I love suspense so this book is great. It is very well written and keeps your attention. The characters are people you come to love, at least some of them are.

Abigail Miller crosses a hallway that is being renovated and witnesses a man dressed in scrubs inject a patient. She makes a noise only to have the man chase her. Cornered in the stairwell, injected with some kind of drug, she's then left for dead.

Doctor Blake Jamison is here to find out about his adoption some thirty years ago but before he is able to check it out he is called to a code blue to find a patient that is dying. Blake has never seen the patient before but his name is on the chart. Thinking something isn't right he has the nurse pull the IV. A nurse is found in the stairwell with the same symptoms. He save the beauty but soon realizes that her life is in danger, along with his own.

Abby left her Amish faith to work as a nurse and mid-wife. Now her life is be threatened. Can she trust the new Englisher Doctor. They are both suspended from work and decide to check on his adoption. Now they are under attack again. Is Abby the victim or is Blake?

Great book I know you will love. You need to get a copy right away. God bless you all.

The Husband Campaign by Regina Scott

My review today is on the Love Inspired Historical Book The Husband Campaign, the third book of The Master Matchmakers Series. I enjoyed this book, I have always been drawn to books about marriages of convenience and this one was really cute. When I was young I use to read a lot of Emily
Loring and Glenna Finley books and they did such an awesome job on those stories. I loved those books, Oh Well, back to my review. I enjoyed the characters and the situations they found themselves in.

Lord John Hascot was once betrayed by his twin brother. He married the woman John loved. John bought a horse farm and bred horses and became a recluse. His brother soon died but that didn't change the pain in John's heart. He refused to join in to the games of society again.

Lady Amelia Jacoby was visiting an estate with a couple of her peers. Amelia's mother expected more than Amelia was willing  to give. Amelia grew up with parents who were unable to show her any kindness or love. After an argument with her mother Amelia saddled a horse and ran off. She took refuge in a barn during a storm and cried herself to sleep.

John found the lovely lady in his barn. He cared for her and showed her nothing but kindness. The next morning he sent a groom to tell her mother she was safe. He offered Amelia his hand in marriage because her name would be ruined.  She refused his offer. She would only marry for love.

Commanded by Amelia's father to return to London he was force to offer for her hand again. Her father trading her for one of John's valued horses. So begins the journey of these two young people who hardly knew each other and both really wanting nothing to do with marriage.

You will laugh, you'll cry, and you will wonder what could make parents so unloving and cruel. I loved the end of the book and I know you will too. God bless you all and have a great week.
