My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Defending the Witness. It's good to have a Nebraskan writer with LIS. I enjoy reading about my state, especially someone who really lives here and knows the areas she is talking about. Sharee does an awesome intrigue. This story is well-written, action-packed, and full of faith. I know you are going to love it.
Ayla DuPree is in Witness Protection. She has spent the last six months learning the skills she needs to defend herself. She witnessed a murder and is now in hiding. They haven't found her yet but that is about to change. She has just finished practicing when she gets a call from her handler telling her they are coming! A car is coming up the driveway. Ezra tells her to run. She takes off in her SUV across the pasture. As she drives she calls Ezra but a man answers and tells Ezra is dead and you're next. She is on her own.
U.S. Marshal Chance Tavalla and his K-9 Destiny are part of the Heartland Fugitive Task Force and have been assigned to find Ayla. He had questioned her integrity at one time and is not happy about the assignment. He isn't a babysitter. When he finds her he will pass her off. When his K-9 finds her he ends up hanging from a tree in a fixhing net. Could anything get any worse?
An exciting journey to keep Ayla safe from the killers. God has a plan for these two, a plan for hope and a future. God has a plan for you too. A good plan for peace and not for destruction. Give Him your heart and trust Him to care for you.
