My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Missing in the Desert. This is book two in the series, Desert Justice. I'm a big fan of Dana's work and I'm always excited to get one of her books in the mail. I don't know where she gets all her ideas. This story is well-written, action-packed, and full of drama.
Levi Duke contacted his new partner, Seth. He wanted him to check out a new mare that would be perfect for their herd. He talks to Mara, Seth's sister (his secret crush) as they drew close. Disconnecting, he waits for them. He hears a motorcycle but it doesn't come into view. As he watches them approach he hears shots fired and the SUV slipped off the road. Who could be after them? Can he keep them safe?
Mara Castillo came to talk her brother out of partnering with Levi but also to check on a text she received from a cell phone. Levi could talk him into anything and she was there to stop him. The ranch is a broken-down mess. They are shot at and her brother, injured and put in the hospital. She decides to take her brother's place at the ranch until he can return. Someone is after her, who could want her dead? Did it have anything to do with her sister"s disappearance years ago? Could she trust Levi to protect her?
A journey into the desert to find answers about her sister's death and why the killer is after her. God has a plan for these two; a good plan for hope and a future. God has a plan for you too, a plan for peace and not for destruction even in this time of upheaval. Give Him your heart and watch Him move in your life.
