My review today is on the Romance, The Prince and the Pie Maker. This is book two in The Rebel Royals Series. I really enjoy Shanae's work. I like that it's clean, humorous, and totally delightful. I know you are going to love this book. You have to love her characters.
In book one Playboy Prince Alexander met the best chef ever. His brother the king is marrying the pie maker's best friend. Alex wants no part of the throne or the royal life style. He tours the world looking for new delightful spices and dishes. He helps with food distribution and environmental projects around the world but lets the press make him look like a playboy out for one thing. In book one he brings the pie make to his country to enter a contest. He helps her and they win. Now he has decided he wants to open a restaurant with this amazing chef. Once he brings her over to his way of thinking he begins to have feeling for her.
Jan Peppers was left at the altar and if that wasn't bad enough she watched him marry his old girl friend at her wedding. Her family had paid for the wedding. She would never trust another man. Her ex owns half of her pie shop and is trying to stop her from doing new pies and experimenting with spices. She is at the end of her rope when the prince comes into her shop with an offer she can't refuse. Slowly this man is winning over her heart. How can she keep her heart safe?
A delightful journey into a royal kingdom. His backers want him to marry so that he will gain his inheritance as a safe guard on their investment. So they enter into a fake engagement, the press harass them, and everyone is up in arms. A truly delightful story.
