My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Deadly Connection. This is book three in the continuity series True Blue K-9 Unit: Brooklyn. I have really enjoyed this series and Lenore is one of my favorite authors so this book is a winner to start with. It is well written, full of action, and full of faith.
K-9 Officer Belle Montera and her partner, Justice, are on their way to question a US Marshall about his DNA. A match to a twenty year old cold case and recent murder. The team had done a thorough search of this marshal and have eliminated him as a suspect. Someone is following her. She hears the rush of air from a silencer and waits for the pain of a bullet but her partner is shot with a tranquilizer dart. Big hands grab her from behind. He turns her around and chokes her while threatening her. She fought for her life. The marshal arrived announcing himself as a U S Marshal. The attacker took off.
U S Marshall Emmett Gage DNA is a match to the DNA of a killer in a clod case. He is on his way to the meeting when he finds the officer being attacked. He stops the attacker but was unable to catch him. He goes back to the officer. He could probably tell her what she needs to know. Most of his family is gone, only one cousin could be the who they are looking for. He is the best at what he does, he hunts down and brings in dangerous fugitives from all over the country. He didn't think he'd be hunting his own kin. Can he figure out who is after the beautiful Belle? Can he protect her and her partner?
A powerful journey trying to find who is after her and find his cousin. Are they connected? God has a plan for these two, a plan for a hope and a future. God has a plan for you too, a good plan and not for evil. This is a trying time with one crisis after another but if you give your heart to Jesus then you give God the power to intercede in your life.
