Liza's Second Chance by Molly Jebber

My review today is on the Amish Romance, Liza's Second Chance. This book was sent to me to read. Here is my honest review, This story is the first one in the series, An Amish Charm Bakery Novel. I'm always thrilled to get one of Molly's books in the mail and this one didn't let me down. This book is well written, heart-warming, and full of faith. I know you are going to love it.
Liza Schrock is a widow. She runs a bakery her husband had bought and loves the work. Her husband was an abusive man that made her life miserable. She hadn't shared with anyone the horrors she had went through until recently. A new man moves to Charm and Liza is immediately attracted to him but she can't put herself in that situation again. Especially when a child is concerned.
Jacob Graber moves to Charm after his troubled daughter ran away from him to go into the Englisch world. When she returned his town was not been forgiving and all his daughter talked about was the wonders of the Englischer's world. Jacob falls in love with Liza at first glance but she has been badly hurt and refuses his advances. It is obvious that Ellie isn't happy about his father's interest in the beautiful baker. Jacob wants to marry Liza but she refuses. Can They overcome all the obstacles?
A struggle of past hurts, rejections, and hope. Is there anyway they can get past their troubles to become the family God wants them to be? Baby On The Run by Hope White

My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Baby On The Run. I really enjoy Hope's books. This one is excellent and I enjoyed it very much. This story is well written, action packed, and heart warming. I know you are going to love this one.

Now she sees her friend killed, Jenna takes her baby boy and goes on the run. the custodian comes to her rescue but can she trust him. An Improper Proposal by Davalynn Spencer

My review today is on the Western Romance, An Improper Proposal. I was sent this book to read, I wasn't told I had to review it. I have to tell you I really enjoyed this book; it's well written, humorous, and heart warming. All in all it's delightful. I know you are going to love this one. She has also interwoven her faith thought the story, I always like that.
Mae Ann Remington came to Olin Springs to marry a farmer, Henry Reiker. They had corresponded for several months and then he had sent her the money. Mae Ann had no family and nothing left for her in Missouri. On the way to the church to get married Henry wanted to stop at the bank. Two bank robbers came in and stole money from the bank and stole her reticule from Mae Ann and shot Henry. A strange man told the thieves that the sheriff was coming so they ran out the back door. The stranger helped her with Henry. At the undertakers Mae Ann asked the stranger if he is married and then asked him to marry her.
Cade Parker couldn't believe it when Henry was shot. He had heard; everyone had heard about his mail order bride. Henry was so excited. Now the bride was left penniless. Mae Ann shocked him when the beautiful woman offered him a business arrangement. If he would marry her then she would care for his house, feed him, and do the chores. If he didn't find her pleasing they could live their marriage in name only. Cade accepted the arrangement but soon found he had a lot more woman than he had bargained for.

My review today is on the romance, Back to You. This is a complimentary book that was sent for me to read. It wasn't necessary to review it but I really enjoyed the story so here is my review. The story is well written and delightful. I know you are going to love it.

Operation: Hail Storm by Brett Arquette

My review today is on the Techno-Thriller, Operation: Hail Storm. This book was sent to me as a complementary copy. I wasn't required to review it. It isn't my normal kind of book. I usually review Christian fiction but this is definitely not a Christian story by any stretch of the imagination. There is some foul language but but not excessive. There is some sex but not in a descriptive way. I did like the story; it is well written, well researched, and full of technology that I assume will one day be doable.
Marshall Hail lost his wife and twin daughters in a tragic international event called The Five. These last two years he has centered his life on business. He has removed all of the nuclear waste from the United States and has found a way to harness it and made a Wave Reactor. In this process he has made a vast fortune. He has also built several ships to carry the waste. In those ships he has made them totally self-sufficient. He has taken in a lot of young kids that were effected by The Five. He provides school for these kids. Together they have built a system of drones to do anything that they need to do including executing the men and women of the FBI top ten terrorist list. When his team successfully assassinate the number one terrorist and he asks for the twenty five million dollar reward he comes on the radar of the President, the CIA, FBI, and military. The President asks him to perform a task for her; find the missile part that was sent from Russia to North Korea and destroy the nuclear missile parts before they can build nuclear missiles to send to the USA. He is willing but the CIA insists he must take a CIA operative with him. They name the  mission Hail Storm.
CIA Agent Kara Ramey is an extremely beautiful. That is why she has risen in the CIA. She uses her beauty and sex to get information from a Russian Operative. This information is what has caused the CIA to use Marshall Hail and his team. Kara's boss believes Kara will be able seduce the man so he places her with Hail on his ship. Hopefully she can get information from the man
A struggle of power and trust. Everyone holding back vital information from the others. Politics at it best. The CIA, FBI, and Military all decide they need a back up plan if Hail Storm can't deliver. Watch what happens when they get involved in the operation. 

Credible Threat by Heather Woodhaven

My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Credible Threat. I really enjoy Heather's work and this is an excellent example of her books. This story is well written, action packed and full of suspense. Heather's faith is woven through out the story. Don't you just love that? You will fall in love with her characters; well not all of them.
Rebecca Lynn became an accountant because of all the threats that surrounded her family because of her grand father being a federal judge. Her father moved them far away from their home and made her promise to stay away from law enforcement; so when she is attacked in her grand fathers home everyone believes it is because of her grand father's job. A US Marshall is assigned to protect her. Why did he have to look so good and attract her like he did? She feels that someone's trying to kill her is due to the audit she is working on, not her grandfather but she can't seem to make them believe her.
US Marshal Kurt Brock is sent to find out who wants Rebecca dead and to protect her. He had just finished a case but was unable to get any rest. Exhausted Kurt is informed that he must keep his relationship strictly professional but to do whatever it takes to protect her and find the killer. Could this killer be from her job and not her grandfather? Why would anyone want to kill an accountant? How is he supposed to stay away from her when he is so drawn to the feisty little accountant?
A great struggle to keep one step ahead of the killers. Both Kurt and Rebecca have a lot of baggage to deal with but the attraction is almost overwhelming. God has a plan for these two, a good plan and not for evil. God has a plan for you too, a plan for a hope and a future. Give Him your heart, trust Him, and watch Him turn your life around.

Treacherous Trails by Dana Mentink

My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Treacherous Trails. This is the second book in the Gold Coast Cowboys Series. I really enjoy Dana's books and this is an excellent example of her work. This book is well written, action packed, and fast paced. Dana has interwoven her faith throughout the story like a tapestry. I always love that.
Farrier Ella Cahill is driving home when she is drugged from her own thermos. She gets out of her van and collapses, someone puts a bag over her head, shoves her back in the van, and pours alcohol all over her. She escapes and hides in the woods.When she awakes she returns home to find a dead body in the back of her van. Ella is accused of killing the man. She must find a way to clear her name. She turns to her brother's best friend, a former Marine.
Former Marine Owen Thorn promised Ella's brother that he would protect Ella and their sister. Now she is accused of murder and someone is out to kill her. Someone kidnaps Ella's sister to stop Ella. Can he find her sister, protect Ella and clear her name? Her brother told him to not get involved with her, how does he keep from loving her?

When The Cowboy Rides Away by Molly Noble Bull

My review today is on the Western Romance, When The Cowboy Rides Away. This book was sent to me to read, I was not required to review it. I enjoyed this book very much. I have never read any of Molly's work before but I'm sure I will read more in the future. This story is well written,full of adventure, and has some intrigue to it. I know that you are going to love it.
Maggie Gallagher and her little sister are going to the cemetery to put flowers on the family graves when she hears a gun shot. She finds a strange cowboy shot in the back and with head trauma. She takes him back to head quarters and with her hired help nurses him back to health. She finds a letter in his things and thirty dollars. Who is this man? Can she trust him?
Alexander P. Lancaster was just released from a Mexican prison. He'd been in the prison for three years even though he had done nothing wrong He must find Dee the woman he had married and then found out the man who married them was a thief and not a minister. He must find her and make things right. He is riding along when he is shot. Now he remembers nothing about his past. An angel is the woman who cares for him. He must find out who he is and who is out to kill him.  How can he have a future with her when he might be married?

Cross Fire by C.C.Warrens

My review today is on the novel, Cross Fire. This is the second book in the A Holly Novel Series. I didn't read the first one but I am tempted to go back and read it because I really liked this one. I don't think I've ever read any C. C.'s  work. This book is well written, action packed and full of intrigue. Fifty years ago I was married to an abusive man. It was a horrific time in my life. This is a hard subject to write about but this book handle the subject in a special way. I know that you are going to love this book.
Holly is learning self defense moves by Jordan, a former childhood friend. It's hard to learn the moves when she forces Jordan to keep a four foot boundary to her person but there is no other way. She can't trust men. Holly had been badly abused in her past; she can't stand to be touched, especially by men. Her foster brother, her abuser, is out there somewhere and she must learn to protect herself.
Rick Marx is a detective in New York Police Department. He has been protecting Holly for some time. He's the only one that she allows to actually touches  her. Marx sees her as his daughter and will do anything it takes to keep her safe. When her foster brother shows up he takes Holly into his own home. He is investigating a drug trafficking gang, they see Holly as a means to control Marx and try to abduct her.

He has no idea what has happened to her to cause her such torment. He refuses to go back to Kansas and leave her. He will protect her and find these people who are trying to destroy her.

Kill Shot by Susan Sleeman

My review today is on the novel Kill Shot. This is the second book in the White Knight Series. This book has to be my favorite book of Susan's I have read. It is awesome! The book is well written, well researched, and full of action. You are going to love this one.
Special Agent Rick Cannon is a weapons expert in the FBI task force known as the White Knights. He is called to take the lead in an investigation; a sniper shot a homeless veteran. He finds the sniper used a weapon called a smart bullet. It is able to find the target even when the sniper is unskilled. His only witness is a therapist that was working with the victim who was suffering from PTSD. Rick must find who has stolen the weapons before someone else dies. He finds he must protect his witness when she is targeted.
Therapist Dr. Olivia Dobbs went to meet one of her clients. The man suffering PTSD is paranoid and sure he is being followed. He runs off; she gives him a few minutes to get control and then follows him. She sees him off in the distance on the sidewalk with a man standing over him with a knife. The man chases her with the knife. A cop comes to her rescue. They find her client dead but he had been shot. What was the guy with the knife all about? Why did he chase her? The next day she is brought into an investigation with the FBI. The agent in charge is a cold, unfeeling man that expects her to trust him and help them find the killers but he refuses to tell her anything that has anything to do with the case. How could she trust him?

My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Thread of Revenge. This book is the first book in the Coldwater Bay Intrigue Series. I don't know about you but I really enjoy Elizabeth's intrigues. She would be a hard author to beat. This book is well written, action packed, and full of faith. I know you are going to love it.
Marine Biologist Sadie Strand wakes up in boat that is sinking in the middle of a terrible storm. It's dark, freezing, and the waves are swamping the boat. How did she get here?  My review today is on A Western Romance Book, A Bride in Hiding by Leah Laurens. Although this book isn't the next in her last series it is still part of the town of Valley Glenn. This book is full of twist and turns. I'm sure you're going to enjoy it.
Betty Bramble was married to an abusive, cruel man. She finally had enough so while he tried to beat her she pushed him back. He stumbled and fell on the blade of his plow. The sheriff called it a farm accident even though her face was badly beaten. She marries a man seven years younger; a man learning to be a pastor to avoid conflict in the town they eloped. Now several years later she  is childless and fears God is punishing her for her secret. She has crawled into herself and given up on her marriage. As a last hope she writes to Pastor Cummings her husbands mentor.
