I really enjoyed this book and looking forward to the next book in this series. This story is humorous, well-written, and totally delightful. I know you are going to love it.

Collin Hundford didn't understand people, especially women. He understood his horses; why couldn't people be more like horses. He asked a woman out for two dates then went to a meal at her family home. There he proposed to Elizabeth in front of the family. Isn't that how it was supposed to be done? When she turns him down he is totally confused. He explains how she had given him the same signs a mare would give a stallion. (I loved that part) Her father asks him to leave. He must have a wife to receive his inheritance so he asks Charlotte Lee, Elizabeth's best friend instead.

Orphan Charlotte Lee wants to be a horse trainer. She has finished school and come home believing that Mr. Bennet would offer her his trainer's job but he hired someone else. Brokenhearted she accepts Collin's proposal for a business partnership marriage. She knows her best friend won't like it but she really had no choice. She can't live at her aunts any longer.

A delightful journey of two basic strangers as they navigated this engagement and then marriage.

Kerrick by Dale Mayer

My review today is on the Military Suspense, Kerrick. This is the first book in the series, The Mavericks. I really like Dale's books but I was disappointed that he did have a sex scene (although not a graphic one) hidden in the middle of the book. I really liked the storyline, the action scenes, and the characters. I just like his clean books better but I do recommend this book.

Navy SEAL Kerrick Cassidy has come to a time of change. Does he stay in the SEALs when all the rules and people have changed or does he try to find a new purpose in life? He's thirty-four and the old guy on the team. Can he trust all these new guys with his back and all the changes in the rules? Suddenly he receives a phone call that changes everything. He is given a chance to do a black op like he never has before. He's to find a scientist that has been kidnapped. He has an unlimited budget and all the info he can dream of asking.

Scientist Amanda Berg has just found the cure for breast cancer. She is ready to begin human trials when she is kidnapped and kept in a cold, dark, prison cell. She's kept there being drugged each time she's fed. Her boss comes into her cell and tells her her notes are corrupt. She hears a morse code message coming from above her cell, a ten-year-old boy. She manages to get out of her cell and rescue the boy. They run into Kerrick and his fellow Maverick, Griffin.

An amazing journey to escape the men that have captured these two and to find out why but also to help the other people that were also kept in the sanitarium.

He has been in many of the books that Tamara has written. So I was glad to read his story.

They have one resistance group still plaguing them. So they are at the lsle of Ely. He captures the virgin widow in a disastrous siege. Fearless by Tamara Leigh

My review today is on the Medieval Romance, Fearless. This is book two in the Age of Conquest Series. I really liked this book. I so enjoy Tamara's work. I didn't really care for Lady Hawisa in the first book but I did in this one as she became a more vulnerable character. As an author, I can't imagine how hard it is to write these two stories in parallel and keep all the details straight. This book is well-written, action-packed, and full of adventure. I can't wait for the next story.

Saxon Lady Hawisa lost her Norman husband to the war. Now after another battle she is searching for her young son. As she searches all the dead bodies she is attacked and almost ravished. She is afraid of the man's brothers. She finds herself drawn to the man but there is no hope for a future between them. She is the leader of the Saxons a warrior. She is a Wulfrith and doesn't need a man. She must hold onto her lands.

Sir Guarin D'Argent fought in the battle and is now searching for his uncle and his brothers. He sees a woman being attacked and takes off to rescue her. She is uncooperative so he knocks her unconscious to save her. He takes he to the woods to hide her from the looters. He is captured, beaten and tortured. They hold him for almost two years. US Marshal Samuel Taggart is on a mission to find Thomas Finch, a man from his past. He didn't tell anyone he was a US Marshal but watched closely what was taking place in the small town. He watched an altercation between three men escalated and a deputy got shot. Yes, this is a good place search.

The real Samuel Taggart was left on the trail somewhere in Kansas. Now armed with a badge and papers the imposter felt like he could do anything he wanted. He had also brought with him several men that obeyed his every order hidden outside of town. Yes, he would find Thomas Finch and take care of him once and for all.

His journey would destroy the small town, the people, and the ranches surrounding it. Can anyone keep him from his destructive campaign?

A Life Redeemed by Olivia Rae

My review today is on the Medieval Romance, A Life Redeemed. This is book two in the series, Secrets of the Queens. I love good clean Medieval stories. I'm a big fan of Olivia's books and this one is awesome. It's well-written, full of drama, and heart-warming. I know you are going to love it.

Queen Elizabeth orders Audrey Hayes to travel to Scotland to become a companion to the mother of a Scottish Laird. She is to spy on the household and discover if they are in support of the Protestant beliefs or are aligned to the Catholic religion? If she refuses her family will be put into prison. What she finds is a young boy who is unloved by his father. Can she be a companion and still help the boy?

Laird Gavin Armstrong is raising a child that is not his son. He is raising the boy in the same way his father raised him. His wife threw herself over the castle walls after the birth of his second child. The man has closed off his heart and wants nothing to do with the beautiful new companion. A woman he soon finds he can't trust. He decides to send the child back to his true father.

A strange journey that is full of twists and turns. God has a plan for these two broken souls; a good plan for hope and a future. God has a plan for you too, a plan for peace and not for destruction. Give Him your heart and watch Him move in your life.
