Dangerous Christmas Memories by Sarah Hamaker

My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Dangerous Christmas Memories. Sarah is a new author for LIS but I must say I look forward to her next book. This one was excellent. The book is well written, action packed, and full of faith. I know you're going to love it.
Priscilla Anderson is working as a hair stylist. She is in witness protection and someone is following her. She had been seven years in protection. She had lost some of her memories from back at that time due to amnesia. Could he be a man from that time? She called her handler. Just after talking to him the man following her came in for an appointment. Now what!
Lucas Benedict Langsdale III wasn't sure what kind of game Priscilla was playing. She didn't appear to remember him but he did see a flicker of recognition when he spoke. They had been married seven years ago and she had skipped out on him just hours after the wedding. No note or explanation! He has been searching for her ever since. As she cuts his hair the front window shatters and an object whizs by him. A hail of bullets shatter more glass as customers scream. He runs after her to protect her. What is going on?
A terrifying journey as killers follow them. Witness protection takes Lucas with Priscilla as they are married. Can they trust each other? God has a plan for these two a plan for a hope and a future. God has a plan for you too, a good plan and not for evil. Give Him your trust and watch Him move in your life.

Freedom in the Mountain Wind by Misty M. Beller

My review today is on the Christian Western Novel, Freedom in the Mountain Wind. This is the first book in the Call of the Rockies Series. This book was awesome, I couldn't put it down. I'm recuperating from pneumonia so I could really relate to Thad Wilkins. The problem with not being able to put the book down is that it's over too fast and now I have to wait forever for Misty's next book. This book is well written, action packed, and will break your heart at times. You will love it.
Susanna Wilkins and her father are following the Lewis and Clark trail. Her father has lung cancer and his only wish is to see the mountains. Their guide, the third one leaves them stranded but they are rescued by an Indian named Beaver Tail. He helps them part way up the five waterfalls and goes for his friend to help them. They never could have made it without his help and his friends but Susanna seems to be falling for the man.
Beaver Tail is a half breed. His father was English and left him, his mother, and his three sisters years ago. He has had a bad experience with women and wants nothing to do with this beauty but is drawn to her like a magnet. He comes to really respect Thad Wilkins. He wished he could have known a father like him. His friends are looking for one of their brothers but they come with Beaver to help this couple. They are after all protectors and these people really need a protector. It's obvious that Mr. Wilkins is very ill.
A journey of horrifying adventures in the wilderness. God has a plan for this little group, a plan for a hope and a future. God has a plan for you too. A good plan and not for evil, give Him your heart and watch Him guide your steps.

Blessing on the Run by Alana Terry

My review today is on the Christian Suspense, Blessing on the Run. I was sent this book to read, this review is my own work. I found the book interesting, well written, and so sad. It's terrible what people do to each other; especially those they think of as less important than themselves. This story is about human trafficking and how a man can twist little girls around his fingers.
Blessing was in foster care when she met Jarrod. She was only ten. She was soon trafficked out and later showed the younger girls how to please their clients. After losing a couple of babies and Jarrod going to prison she had ended up with a son that Jarrod wasn't aware of. Now she is clean and has a good job at a bank. She has a live in boyfriend, another baby on the way, and it is Christmas. Jarrod is out of prison and contacts her. He wants her to give him information about the bank she works at so he can rob it. He threatens her adopted parents if she refuses. She has stalled him until after Christmas. At the Christmas Eve dinner Her boyfriend announces that she is pregnant and asks her to marry him. On the way home she is fighting with her boyfriend when Jarrod calls and she goes off on him and refuses to help. He tells her she'll be sorry and hangs up. Now what is she going to do? Can she go to the police? Jarrod holds a past secret over her head, can she tell anyone? Would she go back to prison?
A terrifying journey against a mad man. How can this little family survive this monster? God has a plan for them a plan for a hope and a future. God has a plan for you too. A good plan and not for evil. Give Him your heart and watch Him rescue you from your monsters.

The Persian Gamble by Joel C. Rosenberg

My review today is on the Christian International Thriller, The Persian Gamble. I know Joel is a best selling author and probably doesn't need my review but I love his work so I just have to share. I was thrilled when I was given this book as I usually can't afford to buy his work. I really liked in his acknowledgement when he talked of when he wrote his first book. He just wanted his parents to be able to find it. As an unpublished author I really appreciated that. We forget that great authors start out just like the rest of us. This is an awesome story right out of the newspapers of today. Needless to say it is well written, action paced,  and full of intrigue. I know you are going to love it.

Glory's Groom by Kathleen Ball

My review today is on the Historical Christian Romance, Glory's Groom. This is the third and last story in the Mail Order Brides of Spring Water Box Set. I have really enjoyed this series. The subject of abuse is hard to write about but it's an important subject. People especially women need to know there is life after abuse. You do not have to live in fear. I know I am a survivor myself and Jesus is the answer. This book is well written, heart breaking at times, and full of faith. I know you are going to love it.
Glory Wigg is an orphan, she was raised in an orphanage. She was taught to teach but when the only mother she knew sent her out to build a school she wasn't sure how to deal with it. She was to answer a mail order bride ad and then build the school where ever she ended up Miss Wigg would supply the school. She wrote to the shortest ad and was soon on the road. When she arrives she is a mess; her clothes are dirty and torn, her hair is a rat's nest, and her bag is stolen. She doesn't know how to cook much as she was always reading books and she can't sew. Will he even want her? How can she tell him.
Corporal Kent Sandler was married once before but it was awful. He can't believe he sent for a mail order bride just to get a house. When she arrives she's a mess but he takes her home to his boss' wife. She cleans her up and gets her ready for the wedding. How could a city girl from New York City fit in? While he is trying to figure things out his mother-in-law speeds up to him and drops off a little two year old boy. His son he never knew about. Glory takes him and loves the little boy even though it is obvious something is wrong with the little guy. He couldn't talk, walk or crawl.
A journey of healing and restoration for this little family. God has a plan for them, a plan for a hope and a future. God has a plan for you too. Give Him your heart and watch Him move in your life.

Max is not sure what to think but he takes her back to the ranch where the town is there for his wedding. Max goes through with the wedding even though she doesn't tell him anything about what is going on. The woman obviously has some issues as she draws away from every man's touch. Can they get past her issues and become a family?
Veronica Nolan has been badly abused her whole life. When she finds herself an unwed mother with men trying to sneak into her place at night she answers an ad for a mail order bride. She's not sure how she will ever lay with a man but it can't be any worse than it has been at her place. When she meets Max she's not sure what to make of him. He is so good to her.
