Tough as Steele by Susan Sleeman

My review today is on the Romantic Suspense, Tough as Steele. This is book one in the series Steele Guardians. I am one of Susans' biggest fans so I was thrilled to get this book in the mail. It's well-written, action-packed, and full of suspense. It's an awesome book and I know you are going to love it.

Detective London Steele goes to a formal birthday party with her parents. Her family's company Steele Guardian is in charge of the security at the party. Before the party really gets in swing it's discovered that the eighty-year-old has been abducted. London tries to take charge fearing for her family business. There appears to be no way they could have taken the old lady out of the mansion. A county detective is also at the party and takes over jurisdiction. London is intrigued by the man. Can they work together to find Mimi?

Detective Nate Ryder (former Navy SEAL) is the foster son of Mimi's daughter. She is as close as a grandmother he ever had. He is determined to do everything in his power to find her and bring her home to her daughter. The woman who has raised him asks for London and Nate to work together. He is drawn to this London, she has touched him deeply. Can they find Mimi and bring her home safely?

A suspenseful journey to find the missing eighty-year-old and bring justice to the people who took her. God has a plan for them, a good plan for hope and a future. God has a plan for you too, a plan for peace and not for destruction even in this time of chaos. Give Him your heart and watch Him straighten your mess.

My review today is on the Romance Ice's Icing. This is book twenty in the series, Heroes for Hire. I'm a big fan of Dale's work and this is an excellent example of his stories. It's well-written, action-packed, and full of drama. I loved it and I know you will too, especially the end.

Icelite Danning and Levi Legend started their Legendary Security Unit years ago with just four ex-military. Now they have a large compound and go all over the world helping people. Ice has been in love with Levi for years, now he wants to marry. She has a hard time setting the date. She's afraid he is pushed into it. Then their compound is attacked. Levi is her number one care.

Attorney Liv Calloway is working late when she overhears her boss talking to one of the thugs he keeps around. He is talking about the murder of the witness of the case she is working on. She hides as the men shut off the lights and leave. She would head home to Texas and call the police from there. One of the thugs is waiting for her. She tells him she'd be glad to talk to her boss, she just needs to brush her hair. She sprays him with hair spray and hits him in the eyes. She escapes and heads to Texas but is followed and attacked again. A cowboy comes to her rescue. Her one-time neighbor.
