My review today is on the Historical Romance, A Healer's Promise. This is book two in the series, Brides of Laurent, I really enjoy Mistie's books. I'm a big fan of hers so I'm always thrilled to get one of her books. This story is well-written, heart-warming, and full of drama. You are going to love it.
British spy Levi Masters is following his one-time enemy Evan. He is captured and taken into the caves that were called Laurent, a small village hidden in the mountains. He is told the council will have to vote on his being present or if he will be able to leave. He is put under guard.
Healer Audrey Moreau is more curious than afraid of the newcomer. She takes him meals and talks with him. She believes he is a good man. Listening to the council she fears for his life. When an opportunity arises she helps him escape. Things didn't go the way they should have so she ends up following him to help him.
A tragic journey as they brave injury, mountains, and storms. God has a plan for these two, a good plan of hope and a future. God has a plan for you too, a plan for peace and not for destruction even in a time of political turmoil, war, and chaos. Give Him your heart and watch Him move in your life.
