My review today is on the Christian K-9 Romantic Suspense. Sealed with a Christmas Promise. This is book seven in the series, Called to Protect. This is an amazing book and I know you are going to love it. I'm one of Laura's biggest fans. Her work is amazing. This story is well-written, action-packed, and full of faith.
Callie Burgess ran away from home when she was sixteen when her stepfather tried to rape her and she's been running ever since. She is now working in a restaurant when Bryce, a cop who helped her a few months ago when she was kidnapped and chained to a bed by a biker gang. She spilled coffee when he spoke to her. She slipped on the coffee just as a gunshot rang out and the window exploded. The fall had saved her life. Someone had tried to kill her or maybe it was the cop and his dog they were aiming at.
Officer Bryce Flynn had finally found Callie. He's convinced the biker gang that he had rescued her from is out to kill her. The man who had held her captive had recently been killed, he thinks she might be next. Just after he tells her of Otto's death, shots are fired. He dives over her to keep her safe. He is going to protect her. He'll not let her run this time.
An exciting journey to stay a step ahead of the shooter. Is it the biker gang or her abusive step-father that is trying to kill her. God has a plan for these two, a plan for hope and a future.
