My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Witness in Peril. Jodie is one of my favorite authors. I love her work. This book is well-written, action-packed, and full of suspense. I know you are going to love it.
Estate Lawyer Ivy Bridges goes to the home of one of her clients. As she rings the doorbell she hears a woman scream, then another scream that is cut off in the middle. Grabbing her pepper spray she enters the home to find her client's body. She turns to run and bumps into a solid chest. The man is wearing a US Marshal's badge. He knows her name, threatens her, and threatens her daughter. She is able to escape but leaves her purse behind. A police cruiser comes after her. As she pulls over, something is wrong with the cop. She takes off again as he shoots at her.
Special Agent Jacob Garcia is shocked to find his ex hiding in his cabin. The woman he had left behind five years ago. With her is a daughter he never knew existed. Can he keep them safe even when Ivy is framed for the murder of her client?
